The Million Youth March was held in Harlem, NYC on September 5th 1998. Organized by former NOI leader Khalid Muhammad, the march hoped to draw nearly 3 million Black youth and their families. The event was met with much resistance from the city of New York and ended in violence as NYPD wearing “riot” gear stormed the speaking stage after the event went over a few minutes of their scheduled time.
